Nicholas E. Vlattas, FAIA, Hanbury's Fifth Fellow

We are pleased to share the news that Hanbury’s Nicholas E. Vlattas has been elevated to fellowship in the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Nick is being recognized specifically for his pioneering influence in pursuing multiple business strategies while concurrently nurturing constructive practice culture. Nick's business practices enabled and grew Hanbury, a regional firm, to international prominence.

The AIA College of Fellows is the AIA’s highest membership honor, bestowed after rigorous judging upon members whose exceptional work and contributions have advanced the profession and its service to society. Roughly three percent of the AIA’s 90,000 members have this distinction.

“In every capacity he serves, Nick leaves an imprint of integrity and advances a positive image of architects,” says Hanbury Chairman of the Board, Jane Cady Rathbone. “His leadership has been a force behind our firm’s success.”

Nick is the fifth fellow at Hanbury, which is a wonderful tribute to the total firm.
