Hanbury is accepting applications for its class of 2023 Summer Design Scholars. The Hanbury Summer Scholar position provides a unique opportunity for students and firm professionals to work side by side and learn from each other. Project work, a research project, design research trips, design competitions, lectures and critiques are included in the summer experience. This full-time position provides competitive compensation and includes housing.
This is a juried selection, open to undergraduates and graduate students in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture, and interior design. You can learn more about our program (and applicants can apply) HERE.
Since being established in 2003, our scholars have reported their experiences to be rewarding and life-changing. Scholars, including international students, have come from Yale, the Universidad de Monterrey, McGill University, Savannah College of Art + Design, University of Pennsylvania, Washington University, Carnegie Mellon, Tulane University, University of Tennessee, Virginia Tech, University of Virginia, Clemson, Penn State, Ohio State, Kansas State, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, University of Cincinnati, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Hampton University, Mississippi State University, UNC-Charlotte, University of Michigan, University of Oklahoma, University of Florida, Cornell University and Syracuse University. Several Summer Scholar “alumni” have accepted full-time positions with our firm.
